Delivery + Returns

1. Overview

Olivya Stone partners with carefully selected freight and logistics providers so every order arrives the way it left the workshop. By placing an order or scheduling shipment, the buyer acknowledges and agrees to this Delivery and Return Policy.

This policy is incorporated by reference into Olivya Stone's Terms and Conditions. If anything here conflicts with the Terms and Conditions, the Terms and Conditions control.

2. Risk of loss

Title and risk of loss or damage transfer to the buyer once goods are delivered to the buyer, a warehouse, or a designated receiving company. Any claim for shipping damage must be made in writing within 48 hours of receipt.

Olivya Stone is not liable for loss, damage, or delay caused by third-party freight carriers once products leave our facility or partner warehouse.

3. Arranging delivery

As a courtesy, Olivya Stone can arrange shipping through our partner freight companies. If you prefer your own carrier, we need 3 to 5 business days' notice with pickup dates, carrier contacts, and any special requirements. Once any carrier takes possession, liability for the merchandise passes to the buyer.

Every shipment is documented with a Bill of Lading (BOL) or your carrier's equivalent.

4. Shipping methods

Small parcel: smaller, lighter items ship via services such as UPS or FedEx, typically signature required.

Freight: heavier pieces may be crated or palletized for protection, and crating fees may apply. Larger or more delicate pieces may travel blanket-wrapped rather than fully crated; see the blanket-wrap section below for the inspection this requires.

White glove inside delivery: includes in-room placement, basic assembly, and removal of packaging. It does not include installation of wall-mounted items such as mirrors, lighting, or wall units, for which we recommend a licensed professional.

International: quotes are provided on request and remain valid for 30 days. Import duties, VAT, and brokerage fees are the buyer's responsibility, and a Certificate of Origin or other documents may be required.

5. Lead times and transit

Production lead times are stated on each piece and in our Terms and Conditions: 14 to 16 weeks standard, 14 to 18 weeks with COM, and 18 to 22 weeks from DFA approval on custom work. Freight transit typically adds 5 to 14 business days depending on distance and service level. Expedited services may be available at additional cost. All dates are good-faith estimates, not guarantees.

6. Shipping charges

All shipping, handling, and related fees appear on the final balance invoice and must be paid before merchandise is released. If you manage your own freight, a handling fee may apply, you assume all risk once items leave our facility, and local sales tax may be due at pickup where the law requires it.

7. Scheduling, refusals, and storage

The buyer or their receiver must be available on the scheduled delivery date. Rescheduling within 48 hours of the agreed window may incur redelivery, storage, or handling charges.

If a shipment is refused or undeliverable and returns to Olivya Stone, the buyer is responsible for return freight and any reshipment fees.

Merchandise not collected or shipped within 21 days of the final balance invoice may incur storage fees of up to 3 percent of the invoice value per month. Extended storage exposes pieces to changes in humidity and temperature, and Olivya Stone is not liable for condition changes that result from prolonged storage.

8. Receiving and inspection

We advise a professional receiving warehouse or an experienced delivery team on any significant order. The receiver must inspect the shipment at delivery, note any visible damage, tampering, or missing parts on the BOL before signing, and report it to Olivya Stone within 48 hours. A BOL signed without damage notations indicates the shipment arrived in good condition; a signature marked subject to inspection is not accepted.

Check crates, pallets, and wraps for dents, rips, or water exposure before opening. Photograph any issue before removing the wrapping, keep all packing materials until condition is confirmed, and send photos with the BOL to design@olivyastone.com within 48 hours.

9. Blanket-wrapped deliveries

Blanket-wrapped pieces have no crate to open, so every surface must be inspected at the moment of delivery and any damage recorded on the BOL immediately. Because nothing is concealed, concealed-damage claims are not available on blanket-wrapped deliveries: once the BOL is signed clean, the piece is considered delivered in good condition.

10. Returns

Every return needs prior written approval and a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number from Olivya Stone. Unless there is a confirmed defect or in-transit damage, approved returns incur a restocking fee of 25 to 30 percent plus handling, repackaging, and return freight. Outbound shipping is not refundable. Pieces that have been installed, altered, or used are not returnable, and returns must travel in the original or comparable packaging; damage from poor repackaging is the buyer's responsibility.

In-stock furniture and lighting: tell us within 5 business days of delivery, and approved returns must reach Olivya Stone within 30 days of the RMA, uninstalled and unaltered.

Fabric and leather: return requests within 14 days of delivery, items back within 30 days of the RMA. No returns on fewer than 5 yards of fabric or 2 hides of leather, on discontinued items, or on material that has been cut, marked, or treated.

Custom, made-to-order, COM, special-finish, Quick Ship final-sale pieces, and floor samples are final sale: not returnable, not refundable, deposits included. If you find a manufacturing defect on one of these pieces, contact us within 5 business days of delivery and we will repair or remake it.

11. Warranty

Olivya Stone warrants its pieces against defects in workmanship and materials for one year from delivery unless otherwise stated. Normal wear, fading, misuse, accidents, and improper handling are excluded. The full warranty, including exclusions and procedures, lives in our Terms and Conditions.

12. Natural variation

Dimensions, weights, and images in our materials are approximate, and a variance of up to half an inch is normal on handcrafted work. Stone, wood, leather, and metal patinas vary by nature; differences in grain, veining, color, and texture are characteristics, not defects. Samples are for reference, exact color matching is not guaranteed, and reorders may differ in tone or grain from prior shipments.
